Obituary (Fayette County News):.
Margaret Elizabeth Anliker died October 9, 1997 at the age of 25. The death was the result of injuries sustained after an automobile accident in Florida, where she was residing. Services were held at the Redemption Fellowship Church, Fayetteville with Rev. Paul Carrier and Rev. Paul Leslie officiating. Interment was in Camp Memorial Cemetery, Fayetteville.
She was a 1990 graduate of Fayette County High School ad graduated cum laude from Auburn University with an undergraduate degree in education. She then attended the University of South Carolina and obtained her masters degree while she worked as a graduate assistant in the Orientation Department. In March, 1996 she began her current position at Florida International University.
Ms. Anliker attended the Governor's Honors Program in vocal music in high school. She was active in the Fayette County High School Select Chorus ad was a pianist for Kenwood Christian Church. She was awarded a fellowship form the National Orientation directors Association and was recently published in its journal.
A memorial service was held on the FLU campus, where Ms. Anliker was loved and respected by students and faculty alike. An Auditorium in the FLU student center is being renamed in her honor.
Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas (Marjorie) Anliker; a sister, Catherine Anliker of Alpharetta, GA.; a foster brother, Mutee Patrick; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Anliker of Roanoke, Ill.; and Mrs. Charles Cooper of Henry, Ill.; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and hundreds of students whose lives she touched. She is preceded in death by her grandmother Polly Cooper and an aunt, Margaret Cooper Smith.

Also, a memorial scholarship has been established at USC in her honor.
